Breaking records at the UAP Tradelocks Open Weekend

Commenting Mick Friend the show organiser said "Following on from this year I have set aside the theatre for an additional exhibition area as I feel demand will exceed space in 2016."

Female security guard fights for life after being attacked by a male prisoner in Court

A female prison guard has been left in critical condition after being attacked by a prisoner she was escorting outside court. The woman, who is in her 50s and works for security firm Serco, was walking a 22-year-old male from Blackfriars Crown Court to a waiting prison van when the attack happened.

The woman's injuries were so severe an air ambulance had to be called and she was taken to the Royal London Hospital, in Whitechapel, where she remains in critical condition.

Welsh police force fined for sexual abuse case data breach

The ICO has issued South Wales Police with a monetary penalty of £160,000 after the force lost a video recording which formed part of the evidence in a sexual abuse case. DVDs containing film of an interview with a victim, who had been sexually abused as a child, were unencrypted and left in a desk drawer in a police station and then lost during an office move.

Career criminal used locksmith course skills to break into vans

A career criminal who broke into a number of transit vans after honing his skills on a vehicle locksmith course has been jailed for three years.

Darren Rayner already had a string of vehicle theft charges to his name when he took part in the self-funded course, which a judge said amounted to getting a "doctorate in car theft."
