MOBOTIX at The 2018 Light + Building

* MX-Bell-app-update.jpgMOBOTIX showcases its Cactus Concept, which aims at minimising the risk posed by cyberattacks.

In addition to the solutions from MOBOTIX, there are also security solutions from Genetec, a partner company of MOBOTIX, on display.

User-friendliness of MxManagementCenter 1.8 Increased

The powerful, intuitive MOBOTIX video management system, MxManagementCenter (MxMC), will soon be released with new features in version 1.8 free of charge. The most important new feature is the new "Configuration" view with a new "Configuration Bar" that enables users to change the configuration on up to 80 cameras simultaneously with a single click, for example.

This is highly advantageous: It is no longer necessary to call up each individual camera in the browser if, for example, the user wants to review the image settings for an entire camera group and then set these to a standard value. In this manner, MxMC 1.8 cuts time - and costs - for configuration enormously, particularly for very large systems. MxMC 1.8 continues to support POS functionality for direct integration of Vectron POS systems and will be available for download on the MOBOTIX website, together with detailed information, starting in May 2018.

* Mobotix-data-loss.jpgNew System Release to Prevent Data Loss

The new MxFFS with buffered archive from MOBOTIX offers a unique, redundant high-security storage concept that prevents absolute loss of data if the camera's primary storage target fails. Starting with the new firmware (5.1.0.x), an external NAS (network attached storage) system can now be configured as the primary storage target within the securely encrypted MOBOTIX MxFFS storage system, and the SD card inside the camera can be configured as a secondary (backup) storage target.

If the network connection or NAS fails, the camera's SD card automatically takes over storage, and then it automatically and seamlessly transfers all data to the NAS as soon as the network connection has been restored and the NAS is available or it has been replaced or repaired. The system release is designed for use with all MOBOTIX cameras up to models x14/x24.

MxBell with App Update

Users can receive notifications from the doorbell of a MOBOTIX IP Video Door Station (and even open it) and images from MOBOTIX IP cameras on their smartphones or tablets thanks to MxBell, the free of charge app. Thanks to the new playback function in MxBell 2.0, it is now also possible to search through the recorded events for the integrated Door Stations and cameras by a specific point in time and play back the individual clips. In addition, the Grid view will simultaneously display up to four cameras, which is a great advantage for small installations, in particular. MxBell 2.0 will be available from Apple's App Store and from Google Play starting in April 2018.
