London Olympics security bill to top £1bn

Fears of terror attacks and rioting are likely to see Olympic authorities release the full £1billion-plus budget earmarked for security at next year's London Games, according to a report published in the Daily Express.

Experts are gearing up to foil a huge range of potential threats, from Al Qaeda-inspired biological or air attacks to the sort of looting seen in the summer across Britain. For example, an unprecedented no-fly zone over Olympic venues will be in place to prevent a 9/11-style attack.
