SBD at ESCAR

ESCAR (Embedded Security in Cars) is the world's leading conference on all aspects of IT security in vehicles and has been running since 2003.

This year, ESCAR will be held on the 28th and 29th of November in Berlin, and SBD have been invited to present the findings of their latest research on electronic automotive security.

Paul Burnley, SBD's leading expert on modern vehicle theft methods, who is also the author of their latest report "The Nature and Extent of Electronic Theft Methods for Cars", will be attending the event.

The topic of his presentation is entitled: "The Changing Face of Car Theft: A Motivation to Improve Vehicle Security" and will cover:

• An introduction into vehicle theft?

• The extent of electronic theft methods?

• Typical methods used by thieves?

• Conclusions and further work
