Sings like a Canary

A new 'intelligent' home alarm aims to make false alarms a thing of the past.

The Canary is connected to a wi-fi network, syncs with a users smartphone, and not only detects movement in the home, but sudden rises in temperature as well, signifying a possible fire. Once an alert is triggered the homeowner can either call police, remotely trigger the alarm, or just call a neighbour to check over the property. The more alerts sent, the more the device 'learns' the behaviour of the residents and aims to eliminate false alarms triggered by pets. The device will be available for around $199 or £129.
