Samsung launch space saving compact flat dome cameras

* SNV-5010_FS.jpgMeasuring just 100 x 115 x 42mm, the three new dome cameras are designed for environments where there may be limited space, such as in lifts, entrance lobbies, stair wells, small shops and transport applications.

The SNV-5010 is an ONVIF complaint  vandal resistant and fully weatherproofed 1.3 Megapixel dome camera incorporating Samsung's WiseNet1 DSP chipset which has been specifically designed to provide users with maximum benefit from the latest megapixel camera technology. The SNV-5010 features licence-free Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA) which has an optical tripwire and enter/exit direction detection capability, as well as an Appear/Disappear function to detect the movement of objects. IVA also has a scene change tampering function, which creates an alert if, for example, paint is sprayed on a camera lens or there is unauthorised movement of a camera away from its usual field of view.

The SNV-5010 utilises progressive scan technology to capture sharp, high-quality video of moving subjects.

The SCD-2010F incorporates Samsung's highly successful W-5 DSP chipset to deliver 600TV lines of resolution when lighting levels are as low as 0.04Lux. Supplied with a 3.0mm lens to capture just under a 90° angle of view, the SCD-2010F combines Samsung's Super Noise Reduction (SSNRIII) and Sens up technologies to enhance low light performance of the camera in colour. This is achieved by increasing the gain level and reducing the shutter speed of the cameras with SSNRIII, reducing the resultant noise to produce a cleaner and clearer image.

Despite its small size, the SCD-2010F is packed full of user and installer friendly features including Coaxial Control, High Light Compensation, Motion Detection, Samsung Super Dynamic Range (SSDR) and a multi-language on-screen display for easy set-up. A Privacy feature allows for 12 privacy zones to be outlined in different colours and brightness settings so that they can be clearly seen against varying background scenes.

The third model in the range, the SCV-2010F, is a vandal resistant version of the SCD-2010F which is weatherproof to IP66.

As is the case with all Samsung CCTV and IP/network security products, the new domes are offered with full support services from Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd, including free system design, free technical support and a full three-year warranty.
