* Karren_Brady.jpgLondon, 16 Jun 2015: Baroness Karren Brady CBE  delivered a powerful talk focusing on business management and the importance of strong leadership regardless of age, gender and industry on the first day of UBM EMEA’s Protection and Management Series at London ExCel.

Addressing a 400 capacity theatre of professionals from across the security, safety, fire, facilities management and service management industries Baroness Brady, was the first of three inspirational keynote speakers, who will share wisdom from her own meteoric rise to success in the business world, offering plenty of insights to visitors of the shows.

Baroness Brady shot to prominence in the world of football at a young age.  At just 23 she was appointed Managing Director of Birmingham City FC shortly after it had fallen into receivership. Under her leadership the club went from strength to strength and four years on was  floated on the stock market for £25m - making her the youngest ever Managing Director of a UK PLC. Since then she has advised and led a whole host of organisations, including Channel 4 Television, Mothercare, Syco, Arcadia and West Ham United, where she is currently Vice-Chairman.

It was set to be a busy first day for the UK’s largest event dedicated to protecting and managing property, people and information with not only Barnoness Brady taking to the stage but also the launch of the inaugural ‘‘Women in Health & Safety Forum’ taking place within Safety & Health Expo as part of Health & Safety Week.

Visitors to the series of shows will also treated to keynote presentations from Independent Crossbench Peer in the House of Lords and Chairman of the Flexeye Advisory Board, The Earl of Erroll in the Safe Cities Academy within IFSEC International, a live fire door test by BM TRADA within FIREX International whilst learning and development specialist, International Workplace will host two of their four half day conferences within Facilities Show, to name a few highlights.

UBM EMEA’s Protection & Management Series encompasses IFSEC International, FIREX International, Safety & Health Expo, Service Management Expo as well as Facilities Show, in 2014 the combined events attracted more than 40, 000 attendees over three days to London’s ExCeL.

Sir Ranulph Fiennes speaks on Wednesday 17th June at 2.30pm and Sir Chris Hoy will speak on Thursday 18th June at 11.30pm at ExCeL London.
