Side load issues with doors?

* COBALT.jpgProblems with your electric locking releasing due to side load pressure?

Many locks such as strikes, locks and dropbolts will not unlock upon request when side load pressure is applied to the door. Other motorised locks may not unlock upon request up to the side load standards compliance level.

A side load unlocking issue can occur when a building's air conditioning creates air pressure against the opening side of the door, with door and frame defects or where occupants are applying pressure against the door, especially in an emergency situation.

Correcting locking issues on doors, especially fire doors isn't just a convenience issue and can mean the difference between a door meeting or failing legal safety standards.

The problem can often be easily remedied by replacing these non-performing electric locks and specifying ones such as the YD30 or YD30M from BQT Solutions COBALT range. These locks can release upon request with 100kgs of side load force exerted on the door and can mean the difference between legal compliance or liability.
