54% of CISOs are ‘fighting an uphill battle’ for board-level cybersecurity support

Over half (54%) of Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) say the board fails to provide them with ample investment for cyber initiatives, according to a new study by cybersecurity technology provider, Encore. An independent study of 100 C-level executives, 100 CISOs and 500 office workers in the US and the UK, sought to uncover the gap that remains between boards and security teams when it comes to addressing cyber demands.

Mul-T-Lock drives van security campaign

* MTL-van-lock.jpgMul-T-Lock UK is urging van owners to update their vehicle security in light of the latest crime statistics. With latest results[1] showing the annual rate of thefts involving vans in the UK could rise to more than 20,000 vans by 2030, the security specialist is encouraging van operators and owners to consider simple solutions to protect their vehicles and contents. 

The same research predicts that 12,000 vans will be stolen in 2022, which is a rise of 169% over the last five years.  Tools are the favourite target of van thieves, with 67% of van break-ins resulting in stolen tools and equipment.
