Award-winning specialist security company launches new scaffold alarm at BuildShow 2015
The UK's established technology leader in specialist security systems, VPS Site Security, is launching its new range of scaffolding alarms at next week's BuildShow 2015 at the NEC, Birmingham.
Every month hundreds of thefts and burglaries occur from buildings where scaffolding has been erected, and dozens of news reports highlight thefts of actual scaffolding itself. The value of such thefts and the costs of replacing as a result, for example, stolen lead roofing, are estimated to total over £150 million annually.
"We're delighted to add scaffolding alarms to our range, bringing a much needed technological and professional boost to this corner of the building and construction sector. They will help significantly reduce the risk of theft and vandalism involving the use of scaffolding." says Phil Bunting, Head of Integrated Solutions and EU Support at VPS Site Security. "Together with our sister companies, we have over two decades of proven in-house design and development, coupled with the experience of securing and protecting millions of square foot of property and construction sites each year across the UK.”
This smarter way to protect sites with scaffolding can be deployed to almost any budget, in any environment and for any structure. There are three key levels of protection, but even at the lowest, Bronze entry level, up to 16 dual-beam detectors can be connected, with remote monitoring of any alerts by VPS Site Security. In addition to radio communications and long-life batteries to maximise convenience and flexibility, there are CCTV upgrade options possible to add further protection.
VPS Site Security has recently been shortlisted by the British Construction Industry for their innovative JCB Smart Tower, and have also been awarded the security contract for Costain and their Heads of The Valley road improvement scheme, covering a major 14km construction project in South Wales. Visit VPS Site Security at the BuildShow 2015, part of Construction Week, NEC Birmingham 6th-8th October, Stand B3/616.
