GJD's Mini Opal external PIR detector now available in white

* GJD-Mini-Opal-White.jpgGJD, an award winning British manufacturer of professional external detector equipment and LED illuminators, today announced the debut of its white coloured Mini Opal external PIR detector.

An inconspicuous detector with adjustable detection range and Lux level settings, the Mini Opal's advanced technical features respond to all security sector requirements.

The Mini Opal is designed for outdoor use and is engineered to be reliable, accurate and easy to install. There are many key features and benefits to both installers and users.

Mark Tibbenham, Managing Director of GJD commented: "The Mini Opal is a high end PIR intruder detector. It is user friendly, able to withstand harsh weather environments and connects easily to GJD's security lighting controllers".

Further advantages include its energy efficiency and high eco credentials. The detector only activates security lights when an event has occurred. This ensures lighting is only on when needed, saving both energy and money for users on large sites, offices and residential buildings.

Fitted with sliding curtains, it is easy to adjust the field of view alignment in order to deliver precise coverage. The sliding curtains also block out unwanted detection areas; whilst the integral sun light filter helps to minimise false triggers.

As well as being IP65 rated, the Mini Opal electronics are conformally coated to resist condensation and insects. The aesthetically pleasing modern plastic housing is UV protected to ensure environmental durability. The Opal is fitted with a dual tamper switch, providing case and wall-mount tamper warning.
