Defence groups take aim at cyber security

The hackers were changing tactics almost by the hour. Even as the cyber defence team erected one wall to repel the invasion, another was being breached by an entirely new hostile code.

This attack on a major UK company lasted for five weeks last year - and was eventually traced to an "Asian government", says James Hatch, director of cyber services at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, which first identified the assault.
