Infinova Awarded 'Outstanding Safeguard' for 2010 Asian Games and Asian Para Games

Infinova has announced that the Asian Games Organization Committee has recognized the company with its 'Outstanding Safeguard' Award for its role in keeping stadiums and venues safe during the Asian Games and Asian Para Games which were held in Guangzhou, China between November 12 and December 19, 2010.

Infinova video surveillance and security equipment was installed in a number of venues, including the Guangzhou International Sports Performance Arts Center, Guangdong Aquatic Center, Bicycle Racing Course and Tennis Center. During the games, Infinova technicians were stationed in the stadiums to assure immediate support if needed.

"These are the second and third major events to take place in China in the past year where Infinova has taken a leading role in helping to protect organizers and attendees," says Mark S. Wilson, Infinova vice president, marketing. "Earlier in the year, over 2,700 Infinova IP and analog cameras, including high-speed IP PTZ domes, minidomes and fixed cameras in a variety of models including vandal-resistant day/night outdoor and indoor cameras plus Infinova's matrix switchers, fiber optic systems and other surveillance equipment and software were part of the coexistent analog and digital surveillance system protecting visitors to World Expo 2010 in Shanghai."

At the two Games, multiple Infinova products were deployed including network video matrix switchers, the V2216 VMS, DVRs and color, high density, outdoor zoom, indoor zoom and minidome cameras. Over 2,500 athletes from 41 countries; 4,000 team officials, technical officials and reporters; plus over 470,000 viewers attended the two events.

Infinova recently announced that it has gone public, raising (US) $300 million, which it will use to grow both organically and through acquisitions.
