Aiphone JP video intercom systems deployed at French Job Centres
Aiphone has been entrusted by the French government to provide video intercom systems for 450 Pole emploi job centres.
Pole emploi is a French governmental agency which registers unemployed people, provides social benefits and helps them find jobs. It also offers opportunities for companies to hire staff. The agency was created in 2009 as a result of a government pledge to reduce the unemployment rate.
Aiphone JP video intercom systems have been installed at each of the 450 Pole emploi offices located throughout France in order to control access to the job centres as meetings with those seeking work are only conducted in the afternoon by appointment.
Each of the Pole emploi offices are being equipped with a JP video intercom solution comprising two or three 7 touchscreen room stations, but there is the option if required, to expand this number to eight.
The JP system comes complete with a built-in 170 degree wide angle camera which when combined with digital pan, tilt and zoom (PTZ) functionality, eliminates blind spots ensuring Pole emploi staff can always see who wants to enter their offices. It also records up to 20 calls on its internal memory or up to 1,000 calls on an optional removable SD/SHDC to enable staff to review the identity of visitors, whilst users can choose to have hands-free communication or use the room station handset to protect the privacy of the visitor.
"The video capabilities of the JP system, as well as the built-in magnetic induction loop for the hard of hearing, were key factors in us winning this prestigeous contract," said Antoine Pelloux, Marketing Manager for Aiphone in France. "Most importantly, the JP system complies with the Franceois Accessibility Act in terms of the field of view of the camera built into the door station which also offers audio and pictogram guidance. Ease of use was also a key requirement and the touch screen room stations with large buttom and icons for quick, intuitive navigation and control, have therefore provided an ideal solution for this project."
Aiphone has become the most respected and reliable brand of communication systems in the world. With its corporate headquarters in Nagoya, Japan, the company employees in excess of 1,450 people and exports to over 60 countries.
Aiphone communications products range from simple one to one door entry kits through to complex microprocessor-based IP commercial systems as well as sophisticated video entry security systems for luxury apartment buildings.
Aiphone products are designed to provide installers and users with peace of mind with proven reliability backed up by a three year warranty policy. Aiphone was the first and is the only intercom manufacturer to win the Deming Prize, the highest international award for quality control. Named in the honour of Dr. W. Edwards Deming, the award honours firms worldwide which advance and maintain manufacturing quality.
