Winning streak continues for IronmongeryDirect as it adds another ECMOD Award to its collection

Up against stiff competition, IronmongeryDirect once again demonstrated it's a winner - collecting the Award for Best All Round Business or Brand (Annual Sales £10 million+, B2B category) at the prestigious ECMOD Awards 2011. These key Awards have evolved into the catalogue and multi-channel sector's definitive measure of success.

"We're extremely proud to receive the Best All Round Business Award", says IronmongeryDirect's Managing Director Wayne Lysaght-Mason. "It's an achievement for the whole company and our management team who are extremely passionate about understanding, meeting and being attuned to our customer needs. The Awards ceremony took place on the evening of 6th April at the Lancaster London Hotel, with category winners receiving their trophies from Sky News and BBC Television presenter Dermot Murnaghan.

The ECMOD Awards celebrate excellence and innovation, honouring high performing businesses at all stages of development which successfully use traditional and newly emerging channels and recognize outstanding performance from the highest quality organisations engaged in direct-to-customer retailing - business to consumer & business to business.

This adds to the company's list of award wins over the past year which saw the supplier take home ECMOD Awards for 'Outstanding Customer Service' and 'Niche Supplier' last year.

Now the UK's biggest multi-channel specialist ironmongery supplier, the company started as a family-run ironmongery shop in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex 40 years ago. Ironmongery Direct recently revealed its success in achieving a sixth year of consecutive growth, not bad for an industry hard hit by recession, increasing turnover from £10 million in 2009 to £12.5 million in 2010.
