Yale 'smart' security app crashes leaving dozens stranded

Families up and down the country have been locked out of their homes after Yale's security system crashed causing chaos for households nationwide. People have been unable to lock and unlock their homes for more than 24 hours.

Customers are also complaining they cannot enable or disable their alarms, leaving thousands of homes vulnerable to burglars.
Yale has blamed an 'unforeseen issue while carrying out unplanned network maintenance' on their smartphone app and has urged people to bear with them.
