Cloud-based Homeguard Pro from ERA
ERA, the UK's home security specialist, recently launched the new HomeGuard Pro, the first of its kind, cloud-based alarm system to combine security with smart living.
The Cloud takes away constraints that a localised alarm system brings, with the immediate benefit being no control panel, just a hub. There is no complicated set up, as this is all done via smartphone app and should the panel be damaged, all settings and data is safely stored in the cloud. Just get another hub and you are quickly up and running again.
The Cloud also enables the monitoring of multiple hubs from one account, meaning quick-flip viewing of different locations can be done in seconds. This is possible as it's no longer the app talking to the panel via SMS or GPRS, it's the app talking to the Cloud which can hold the data from multiple hubs and report back to you fluidly on them all.
Even better still, is the cloud means super-fast communication and in the event of an intrusion, HomeGuard Pro will simultaneously alert all stored contacts and provide real time data. Log in, flip between IP cameras, review arm/disarm logs - quick and easy home security management.
Another key difference is that the cloud, similarly to a 'middle-man', allows communication with other smart devices that a local alarm wouldn't easily be able to do. HomeGuard Pro comes ready to work with Lightwave to automate your home alongside arm and disarm functionality and is also due to integrate with TouchKey (Keyless Smart Lock) and DoorCam, (Wi-Fi Video Doorbell) bringing to life a fully integrated suite of Smart Home Products all connected and managed by one easy-to-use Smartphone App.
Finally, the Cloud offers money saving benefits for the Householder over the longer term because as new integrations are released, or new features become available, the hub can simply be upgraded via the Cloud with no need for replacement or physical adaptions.
Head of Marketing, Tania Tams said, "This is a real step forward in smart security, made possible through Cloud based technology. The sector continues to develop at a huge rate of knots and ERA have worked to provide a robust, affordable product which can move with the times. We are proud that today's integrations make HomeGuard Pro the first of its kind to market, but there is a lot more to come; all of which our cloud firmware updates will allow us to seamlessly deploy."
Thanks to its plug and play capabilities, HomeGuard Pro can be easily fitted by the tradesperson as part of a wider project and is also suitable for the domestic, retrofittable market.
ERA's HomeGuard Pro has an SRP of £299.00. For further information on ERA's HomeGuard Pro, or any of the company's wide range of security products, visit www.eraeverywhere.com or contact the sales team on 01922 490 000 or by emailing [email protected]
