ABM UK appoints new director of security

* Chris-Middleton.jpgABM UK is strengthening its senior leadership team with the appointment of Chris Middleton as director of security. Chris brings with him over 17 years’ experience in both hard and soft services within the facilities management industry, ten of which he spent focused on security, specialising in the corporate security and risk sector. 

Joining from global insurance firm Marsh McLennan via Mitie where he worked as head of operations, Chris has a wealth of knowledge and experience in delivering facilities management services to prime real estate locations across the UK and Europe.

At ABM, Chris will lead security services across over 60 sites, managing over 600 staff. Chris is rejoining ABM having held the position of national security compliance manager from 2012-2014.

Speaking on his appointment, Chris Middleton commented: “I’m delighted to be re-joining ABM to lead its security division in the UK. Our company’s commitment to excellence in training and performance sets it apart from many providers in the field and I look forward to working with the senior leadership to take our offering to the next level.”

John McPherson, managing director at ABM UK said: “We’re delighted to have Chris return to ABM UK. He has vast knowledge of both security and operations that will make him key to our plans to grow the security arm of the business.”

Chris has also held senior facilities management posts at Ernst & Young, PwC and Deloitte.
