EZVIZ launches outdoor security cam, with colour night vision & AI active defence

The latest EZVIZ camera with colour night vision has today officially launched in the UK. Equipped with professional optical lenses, two built-in spotlights, and two infrared (IR) lights, the colour night vision outdoor security cam renders sharp colour imaging even in pitch-black darkness.

More than just helping produce colour night time imaging, the spotlights can also be used as floodlights to illuminate hidden areas around property or act as a deterrent.

Additionally, the new embedded AI algorithm intelligently detects the motion of human shapes in real-time and the new PQ technology automatically adjusts the image brightness when people approach to avoid overexposure. This gives much more detail than the video from conventional systems.

Equipped with professional optical lenses, two built-in spotlights, and two infrared (IR) lights, the Full HD Wi-Fi Outdoor AI camera renders sharp colour imaging even in pitch-black darkness and the spotlights can also be used as floodlights to illuminate hidden areas around a property. The Colour Night Vision provides a clear colour night vision solution to help see every small detail at night, delivering a better experience for monitoring a home in the dark.

When extra lighting is not a necessity, simply switch the camera to black-and-white night vision mode via the EZVIZ App to turn off the spotlights. Users can also select smart night vision mode which will automatically switch from black-and-white monitoring to colour monitoring for real ease of use, turning on the spotlights when it detects human movement. The alert video will be recorded in full-colour, with all the details needed. The camera is powered by advanced PQ technology that is based on intelligent sensing of the actual environment. When people approach, it automatically adjusts the image brightness to avoid overexposure and so providing much more detail than videos from conventional systems.

Using Human Detection with a built-in deep learning model, the Full HD Wi-Fi Outdoor AI Camera can detect the motion of people and vehicle shapes in real-time. Upon detection of human movement, the camera can automatically flash or be set manually to flash the two spotlights to deter unwanted visitors. What’s more, when the person turns their head to the flashing light source by instinct, they will be clearly recorded on camera. The Area Detection feature lets users draw particular zones on the EZVIZ App to protect what matters the most and decide whether to keep people, cars, or both out of the zones. Upon detection of objects of interest, the camera will issue a loud siren and flash the strobe light to drive intruders away. To provide maximum security, Motion Detection Alerts will trigger a notification to be sent to a smartphone via the EZVIZ app which alerts and brings attention to the event occurring. Perfect for monitoring outdoor activity in a garden or driveway and keeping possessions safe.

Property owners can also be assured of reliable connectivity. Dual antennas equipped with wall-penetration and anti-interference capabilities, ensure faultless transmission indoors or outdoors, removing potential video lagging whilst maintaining good performance through the various outdoor weather conditions.

Using the latest H.265 video compression technology, the camera renders clearer and smoother video clips while reducing the need for data storage space and bandwidth. It is also fully compatible with Amazon Alexa & Google Home allowing requests to view live footage by speaking to Alexa and showing on an Echo Show or Google Hub.

The smart camera’s whole metallic enclosure provides stronger protection and enhanced heat dissipation. Due to its IP67 enclosure rating, the Full HD Wi-Fi Outdoor AI Camera offers 24/7 all season protection and is resistant against rain, snow, and other hostile weather conditions meaning that users can be sure that it will protect their property in all seasons. With the integration of Infrared technology, footage can be seen clearly at night too or in dim conditions.

The two-way talk function is fully integrated with professional de-noising algorithm to filter background noise for enhanced voice quality whilst the internal waterproof MIC supports audio pickup within five metres and video recording with sound via the EZVIZ app. With the EZVIZ app homeowners can manage and view the camera live and schedules can be set, detection areas created and previous footage reviewed and shared.

The camera features a 360° swivel and base so that it can easily be installed on a ceiling or wall securely so, in a few steps, a sophisticated security system will be operating smoothly. EZVIZ cameras can hold a MicroSD card (up to 128GB) for local continuous storage upon each detection, or alternatively users can sign up to the Cloud Storage system (subject to subscription costs)
