Atlas Security expands service capabilities with launch of new control room

* Atlas-control-room.jpgAtlas Security has opened a new national control centre to further professionalise operations, expand its service offering and create a more comfortable working environment, providing immediate benefits to the quality of its support.

The national control centre has been designed to help prepare Atlas Security for business growth, following its launch at the start of the year. It is also designed to facilitate the adoption of new technologies that support the growing trend towards ‘blended’ manned guarding and systems security contracts. The management of security, in addition to Atlas’ FM and cleaning operations, are to be integrated nationally.

Solutions include remote monitoring of CCTV, intruder and fire alarms, remote access control, and an intelligence platform with automated client communication in the event of incidents and emergencies. The control room also supports mobile and key holding services, disaster recovery, environmental monitoring, and loan worker personal protection.

The utilisation of these technologies ensures fast and efficient responses to alarms and emergencies, with the control centre providing a valuable support for clients and staff from operatives who have a robust understanding of the contracts the business is looking after.

The control centre is being led by Fran Bennett, Control Centre Manager, who is enthusiastic about the benefits it has brought to staff and employees alike: "The new control centre is a fantastic facility, with industry-leading capabilities. The launch of this space shows that Atlas is committed to creating the best work environment possible for its employees and furthering the professionalisation of control room operations for its clients.”

Gary Stanton, Managing Director at Atlas Security, says the control room enables Atlas Security to compete with much bigger players in the market: “The technology we’re using and the operational capability it affords, puts us in an excellent position to manage our future growth and the very largest contracts”

“First and foremost, however, it ensures the comfort, safety and convenience of our people.”

The control room opening follows the redevelopment of its London office that now caters for the business’ growing London-based workforce.
