Supporting National home security month

Dark-Nights.jpgMul-T-Lock is once again pledging its support to National Home Security Month, which is this year celebrating 10 years since it was launched as a campaign.

National Home Security Month, presented by Yale, offers seasonal advice on home security, including highlighting the importance of preventative measures.  Running throughout October, the campaign presents advice, information and support for homeowners on latest security products and services.

Says Claire Blakemore, Mul-T-Lock Managing Director: “With the dark nights coming in, October marks the start of a noted spike in burglaries, which is this year likely only to be worse in the lead up to Christmas, with the ongoing cost of living crisis.

“Our network of professional locksmiths is always ready to help homeowners with the necessary protection, and here, we have been able to support National Home Security Month since its launch in 2013.  We find it an invaluable campaign to raise awareness of an important message, this year at such a critical time.”

National Home Security Month’s theme for this year is a ‘decade of protecting homes.’  Mul-T-Lock will be able focus on home security through use of dedicated infographics, social media channels and guest blog posts to illustrate how simple measures can make all the difference.

One product focus will be Mul-T-Lock’s new MTL300 Break Secure 3XP, which has been carefully designed to offer the ultimate protection against cylinder manipulation attack.

The MTL300 Break Secure 3XP has a split cam, providing more resistance against the breaking of the cylinder and offers anti-screw and anti-pick protection. Even after the cylinder has been attacked, the key or thumb turn remains operational, meaning homeowners can still get access in and out of a home while they wait for the lock to be fixed.

Claire adds: “The MTL300 Break Secure® 3XP is just one example of how we are constantly evolving our products to offer the ultimate protection for homeowners.  We also make sure our products comply with latest standards and are installer friendly for our professional locksmiths.

“It’s all part of our pledge to set the standard and show to homeowners that we care about their home security.  As we say, “when it comes to what you care about most, you get overprotective… so do we!” National Home Security Month is our opportunity to demonstrate this and we look forward to sharing the advice, supported with our own hints and tips to homeowners looking for ways to enhance their home security.”

Jo Rush, Marketing Director of Yale UK added: “We’re extremely proud National Home Security Month is celebrating its 10th campaign. Over the past 10 years the campaign has continued to provide advice and support to homeowners on the most effective ways to keep their home secure.

“We are delighted to welcome back Mul-T-Lock as a dedicated supporter. The security specialist shares our vision to offer the ultimate guidance on home security and has numerous product and service solutions available that we are proud to associate with our campaign.”
