Briton sponsors 42nd GAI Education Awards

* GAI-Education-Awards.jpgBriton is proud to sponsor this year’s esteemed Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) Education Awards, set to take place at one of the world’s most iconic sporting venues, The Oval, London, on Thursday 17th November 2022.

The 42nd GAI Education Awards will celebrate the outstanding educational achievements of architectural ironmongery professionals and will award a new class of GAI Diploma holders before showcasing the industry’s rising talents and top performers in the Certificate in Architectural Hardware and the GAI Diploma.

This year’s event also marks the first ever GAI Community Awards presentation, commending the exceptional commitment, innovation, customer focus, leadership and achievement displayed throughout the architectural ironmongery industry.

Briton is co-sponsoring this landmark event alongside George Boyd – the UK’s specialist distributor of architectural ironmongery and commercial doorsets.

Pete Hancox, country manager at Allegion UK, commented:

“For over a century, our team of architectural ironmongery experts have played an integral role in delivering the trusted expertise and high-quality performance that the Briton brand is renowned for, and throughout that time, professional development has remained central to our brand focus.

“The GAI’s education programme plays a pivotal role in nurturing professional skills in architectural ironmongery, and it is a core element of our ongoing training and development at Allegion UK. We are delighted to sponsor this prestigious industry event as we celebrate the achievements of this year’s rising stars, including our very own Karen Trigg, who will receive the GAI Diploma.”

The GAI is recognised as the UK’s only trade body solely dedicated to the interests of the entire architectural ironmongery industry; and its education programme the only one in the UK that enables students to qualify in ironmongery specification to British and European standards.
