Yale launches new smart storage solution - Smart Safe

Leading smart security expert Yale,has added a new secure storage product to its growing smart security portfolio – the Yale Smart Safe. A smart upgrade to the popular mechanical storage solution, the Yale Smart Safe has been launched following consistent growth in the smart storage product category.

Ideal for customers looking for a secure solution to protect their valuables, or merchants seeking heightened security for their own personal documentation, cash or tools, the Smart Safe has an array of benefits to suit a range of applications.

Heightened storage security

As a leader in home security, Yale is already a brand name homeowners can trust to provide high-security solutions for their home. And the launch of its new Smart Safe is no different.

Starting with a secure door designed to offer significant protection against physical attacks, the Smart Safe also has a secure locking mechanism with two anti-saw locking bolts to easily and safely secure valuables. 

Paired with tamper resistance to lock down the safe for five minutes after five incorrect password attempts, the new release offers heightened protection for users to ensure expensive valuables are securely protected.

And with the physical security of the product covered, Yale also provides heightened app security with two-factor encryption, two-factor authentication and biometric verification to protect against any potential virtual attacks. 

Convenient access

Whilst the heightened security of the product ensures that criminals are kept out, Yale has made it even easier for users to gain simple, convenient access to their Smart Safe with its optional entry mechanisms.

Users can choose to control their safe via a personalised PIN code, physical key, or, to utilise Yale’s smart credentials via the handy Yale Access app. The benefits of utilising the Smart Safe’s in-app control means users can check if their safe is locked or unlocked from anywhere at any time for the ultimate peace of mind.

The variety of entry mechanism options makes it easier and more convenient for users to securely access their Smart Safe in a way that suits their specific requirements. 

Guest management 

Alongside the smart access options for the Smart Safe, users can also conveniently share permanent or temporary access to their safe with trusted friends, family or colleagues with just the tap of a button. 

The Smart Safe’s connectivity via the Yale Access app allows users to share access from any location at any time of the day or night, providing convenience and control.

All these handy smart features are made possible through the addition of the Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge.

When linked up to the Smart Safe, the Connect Wi-Fi Bridge unlocks smart functionalities, including remote unlocking of the Smart Safe. Without the addition of the Connect Wi-Fi Bridge, users will only be able to unlock and lock the Smart Safe when in a close enough range of the Bluetooth signal.

Activity monitoring

With trusted users having the ability to open and close the Smart Safe through their designated permanent or temporary access, Yale has made it even easier for safe owners to monitor the activity of their product via the Access app.

The smart credentials of the Smart Safe mean that users will be notified via their smartphone if the safe is unlocked or when the door has been left open, to ensure they are always fully ‘in the know’ when it comes to their safe security.

Smart connectivity and alerts

The smart connectivity doesn’t stop there. When paired with Yale’s Connect Wi-Fi Bridge, the Smart Safe seamlessly integrates with leading voice assistants, including Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, to easily and conveniently control the safe using just a simple voice command. The Smart Safe can also be paired with Apple HomeKit, even without the addition of the Connect Wi-Fi Bridge.

Working alongside the Yale Access app, the Smart Safe can also be managed with other smart products in the Yale range to allow control of all products under one app.
