The H8’s flexible 360° pan-and-tilt design and clear 2K resolution can help greatly in reducing blind spots and avoiding blurry imagery. The H8 Pro with a panoramic field of view, is able to lock on and follow a detected moving person to make sure nothing important is missed. The H8 Pro 2Ks on-board algorithm helps it identify moving people and vehicles in particular. It reduces false alerts caused by swirling leaves or flying birds or insects and informs users when an unknown vehicle parks in the property area without permission.

Users can also customise the detection method, sensitivity and zones for precisely the correct amount of assistance. When human motion is detected, the H8 Pro 2K will automatically rotate to track the movement and zoom in up to four times to record the activity so homeowners are always informed and made aware of any unusual activity. Incredibly useful if a family are away from the home or to ensure a delivery is never missed as the user can see, hear, and talk to any visitor via a smart phone. All AI detection and alarm features are free to use with the camera purchase, and no subscription is ever needed. Usually, there are particular areas around a home, such as a front door or garage, that need extra surveillance. With the H8 Pro 2K, people can pinpoint up to twelve viewing spots via the EZVIZ App. Even if the camera has changed its monitoring angle after auto-tracking an activity, users can simply tap on the pre-set dots to help it resume its place fast.

 

The camera also features an active defence function to provide that extra layer of protection. Upon detection of intruders, the camera will set off a loud siren and flash two spotlights to deter even the most determined intruder. The H8 Pro 2K also makes sure than no one can easily sneak in under cover of darkness as it renders colour night vision up to 20 metres with the help of the built-in spotlights and ensures impressive black and white vision up to 30 meters when the lights are off. What’s more, users can set the camera to the “smart night vision” mode so it can automatically switch from black-and-white to full colour upon motion detection. Despite all the functionality, the H8 Pro 2K has a compact design measuring only 116 x 153.2 x 163.8mms, and is fully weatherproof to deliver long-standing performance, even in harsh weather conditions.

 

The camera features the advanced H.265 video compression technology, achieving better video quality with only half the bandwidth and half the storage space of the previous H.264 video compression standard. Homeowners have the option to secure any recorded videos on a local microSD card of up to 512GB, or, if preferred, can subscribe to EZVIZ CloudPlay for fully encrypted cloud storage and extra peace of mind. EZVIZ is the only smart security brand to offer the option of local storage and/or a cloud based storage solution so users can choose whether to subscribe or not.
