ERA and Coral partner to create unique security offering for smart-savvy customers
Home security specialist, ERA, has partnered with Yorkshire’s leading provider of windows, doors, and conservatories, Coral Windows and Conservatories, to create a unique smart offering exclusively available to Coral customers.
Coral SmartFrame, which comes free as standard with all newly fitted windows, is a smart security offering unique to Coral. When paired with its accompanying ERA Smart Hub, the cloud-based smart system, provides instant smartphone alerts when a window is opened or closed.
In addition, for ultimate customer peace of mind, Coral SmartFrame offers built-in tamper and vibration protection which senses unusual behaviour, notifying the user and triggering an alarm to highlight any potential security breaches. For convenience, users are also notified when leaving their property to close any open windows before the alarm is set.
The Coral SmartFrame sensor is built into the frame upon installation, ensuring the sensor isn’t visible when the window is closed. The sensor then connects to the ERA Smart Hub to provide 24/7 monitoring via the Coral Smart Home app, created by ERA as part of the project. Once a customer downloads the app and connects the hub to their router, they can check the status of their windows at any time, from anywhere with an internet connection.
The project was born from a successful 25 year plus partnership between ERA and Coral Windows, which saw the latter, who historically pride themselves on providing first-class safety and security to their customers, reach out to ERA to create the unique product to ensure that Coral customers would have best possible smart solution for their needs.
As part of the project, ERA not only created a completely customised product to suit Coral’s requirements, but it also supported the company in developing the bespoke Coral Smart Home app, providing tech support and helplines for customers, and sales and marketing collateral, including video tutorials, guides, and online and retail advertisements.
Brendan Cowey, General Manager at Coral Windows and Conservatories, says:
“We are incredibly proud of our unique Coral SmartFrame offering. One of a kind, this new product fits the brief for our varied customer-base for whom we always strive to provide the most modern and convenient security solutions.
“ERA has exceeded our expectations on the Coral SmartFrame project. Not only has the team been completely flexible and supportive in helping us achieve our vision for the system, but they have done so with enthusiasm and to ambitious timeframes.
“No request has been too big or too small for the ERA team who have helped us to build a product that is already going down incredibly well with our customers. We are excited to work with them on future projects that showcase the very best in smart security solutions.”
Lisa Lund, Technical Sales Manager at ERA, says: “Having had a great working relationship with Coral for decades prior to the Coral SmartFrame project, we were excited to work with them on this unique system.
“As with Coral, customer peace of mind is paramount here at ERA, so working on a one-of-a kind project that prioritises smart home security has been rewarding. We look forward to working together on further products that will revolutionise how customers protect their homes.”
