3DX-Ray UK Defence contract award
3DX-Ray Ltd the specialist supplier of X-ray screening systems to the security market, has announced that it has been selected for a contract with a prominent UK defence contractor, NP Aerospace Limited for the supply of its ThreatScan® portable X-ray system.
The contract (which is subject to the finalisation of commercial terms) will commence with a three-month trial and testing process expected to commence in September 2024. Once the trials are successfully concluded, 3DX-Ray will commence delivery of its ThreatScan® portable X-ray systems. The estimated contract value is c.£3 million over a 36 month period.
The ThreatScan® portable X-ray system is designed to empower bomb technicians, enabling them to conduct rapid and accurate threat assessments across a diverse range of operational scenarios. The system comprises a portable X-ray generator, a detection panel, and an operator's workstation running the Company's market-leading image processing software. Additionally, a customer-specific range of ancillary equipment complements the system.
