IMOU launches wireless Doorbell 2S Kit with smart tracking for a high-quality and full coverage solution

IMOU, a leading innovator in smart home security, proudly announces the UK launch of its Doorbell 2S Kit for a security solution that is high-quality and packed full of innovative features to upgrade any existing setup. A market first Pan lens video doorbell with a 180° field of view, it provides market leading tech at an affordable price.

The wireless 2S doorbell delivers high-quality images thanks to its 3-megapixel, 2k resolution, so it is always easy to see exactly who is at the door. .

The 2K lens offers great quality even at night thanks to its 5m infrared night vision mode, and it can rotate up to 30 degrees. A stand-out and unique feature of the 2S is its ability to smartly track moving objects to keep a close eye on everything and reduce any blind areas without the need for a tilting bracket which is a market first feature

The Doorbell 2S Kit has a unique rotatable camera with a 166° wide-angle lens and a 30° pan lens, offering an impressive 180° field of view to monitor the entire front of a house and reduce blind spots. The 4:3 aspect ratio is more suitable for the corridor in front of the door, ensuring head-to-toe images, ideal for capturing the full height of people and objects. Smart tracking technology allows the camera to follow moving objects, providing comprehensive surveillance.

With a chime included in the kit as well as features such as infrared night vision, smart tracking functions and high-quality 2K resolution, it is the perfect doorbell to keep properties safe, visitors welcomed and delivery drivers informed. 

With PIR and Human Detection as well, the doorbell will only show and notify users about important and necessary clips – reducing unwanted notifications and false alarms. The 0.3 seconds detection time to catch any movements when the doorbell detects someone approaching the door means that users will be informed quickly of any activity. The doorbell also has a loitering detection feature that, when enabled, notifies when people are staying in front of the door after a preset duration. It uses 2.4GHz Wi-Fi to offer a stable connection when combined with the Chime, which is also a Wi-Fi extender. In addition, the chime provides indoor storage of the SD card which helps to protect the recording, should the doorbell be tampered with or stolen.

Included in the package for the Doorbell 2S is the DS2S gong to ensure the ring of the bell can be heard anywhere in the house. Not only this, but it also improves connectivity and has an SD card slot for local recording within it that supports an SD card of up to 512GB. There are up to 10 different chime ringtones available for event alarms, and snooze schedules and volume can also be set.

A full solution that allows users to both listen and respond to visitors in real-time, the two-way talk call function can be extremely useful when a parcel is trying to be delivered to the door to give extra instructions on safe places. If necessary, there is also the option of a voice converter which can be used, for example, to scare away an intruder. In addition, the 2S has a quick response function, making it easy and fast to reply to visitors with a quick response message that can be pre-recorded for a personalised touch. Due to its high-end motion sensor and smart AI algorithm, the 2S sends real-time notifications when a person is detected.

The video doorbell features a 5,000mAh rechargeable battery which can be quickly recharged by USB-C and, when fully charged, lasts up to 120 days under normal conditions. With the Auto Power Saving Mode, users can help to keep the doorbell working in low battery condition automatically and the camera can only be woken up when there is an event detection or doorbell call. The doorbell can be used standalone with the rechargeable battery or it can be hardwired for continuous power using the Hardwired Kit that is included in the box as standard. Able to withstand weather anywhere it is, it is waterproof for all conditions.

Using the Imou Life app, which is available on iOS, Android or Windows, users can setup and manage the device easily and quickly. This also allows for use of the Imou Cloud service in addition to the local storage options. As with all IMOU products, no subscription is required to playback or record, this can be done subscription free with a Micro SD card and Cloud is optional and offered for additional peace of mind, should local storage fail or the device is stolen from only £3.49/month or £34.99/year. Other practical features available on the app include smart scenes that allow users to customise settings like away mode, where the camera is fully active to monitor the home. Additionally, users can define detection regions to cover specific areas and tailor security settings with various operational options, including power-saving modes. The device can also be shared with multiple users so the whole household can stay informed.
