Squire partners with inaugural Fix Radio Tool Theft Conference
Squire is pleased to continue its support for the trade at the 2026 Fix Radio Tool Theft Conference in partnership with Wickes TradePro. The event is due to take place at Fazeley Studios, Digbeth on the 22nd of October 2026, and as a Collaborating Partner, Squire will draw on its 246 years of security expertise to share best practice and discuss practical security measures for tradespeople.
The conference comes as tool theft continues to affect tradespeople across the UK. In 2024, more than 25,000 tool thefts were reported, with the crime estimated to cost tradespeople approximately £40 million a year. For many, these crimes can result in lost income and significant disruption to their business.
The event brings tradespeople, brands and insurers together to share advice, raise awareness and showcase products and solutions designed to tackle the tool theft crisis. Attendees will be able to find Squire throughout the event in the venue foyer, where ambassadors will be available to demonstrate products and provide guidance on the best padlocks for tools and construction sites.
Squire’s experts will be on hand throughout the day to discuss its product ranges, ideal for tradespeople securing tools and sites, including the SS100CS LEV5, which is widely regarded as the world’s strongest padlock. This ultra heavy-duty padlock is the only one on the market to reach LPCB SR5 certification, demonstrating its effectiveness against powerful tools. Designed with anti-angle grinder technology, the lock provides a robust solution for securing construction sites.
Squire also provides security solutions for storage containers and lockups. The WS75S features a hardened boron alloy steel shackle and a hardened steel lock body, which is designed and manufactured in Squire’s home factory in Wolverhampton. The six-pin tumbler mechanism offers over 250,000 key differs, meaning machinery, power tools and stock can be stored securely and with the ability to withstand the most determined attacks.
For more adaptable applications, the All Terrain range offers flexible security for toolboxes, with a selection of shackle lengths to suit different requirements. Suitable for use on complex staples, the locks provide reliable protection for items stored in vehicles, self-storage units and on site.
