Kentec protects magnificent Athens Metro Mall

Ninety Kentec addressable control panels are at the heart of a fire safety system installed at the magnificent Athens Metro Mall shopping mall above the Agios Dimitrios metro station, in the southern suburbs of Athens.

The mall, spread over 5 levels, is dedicated to shopping and entertainment offering 85 stores with major brands covering every need: 18 eateries, 5 cinema screens, a Supermarket, the 21,5002 m Volta Fun Park, and 1200 parking spaces. Its stunning architectural design, abundant light, water and green features create the ideal location for relaxed shopping and entertainment, harmonised with the urban environment.

As a magnet to thousands of visitors, this retail complex demands risk management systems of the highest integrity, including fire detection, security, CCTV and access control systems installed, commissioned and supported by Zarifopoulos SA.

At the heart of the fire safety system are two separate networks of 90 Kentec Syncro AS one loop control panels supported by Argus Vega Protocol and integrated to 1,800 Argus detection devices, plus 170 ADOS addressable CO detectors within the parking area.
