We have Mail: The Diamond Standard
Just a quick note to point out a concern with the content of last week's LASN We have Mail: UAP puts £500,000 into National Radio Advertising
Secured By Design in fact do recognise SS312 Diamond testing and see it as an equivalent to TS007 3 star.
SS312 Diamond was introduced well over 12 months ago to address the increase in cylinder attacks being witnessed in West Yorkshire in particular. With input from industry stakeholders the standard added a particular test to address the vulnerability of the euro cylinder.
West Yorkshire police have been particularly keen on the standard and have been very proactive in their promotion of the standard. The standard is also being promoted in meetings arranged with other forces around the UK as well as with government departments and other bodies such as insurers and consumer groups. The confirmation that SBD recognise it as an equivalent to the TS007 3 star rating should hopefully address any misunderstandings out there about the standard.
