Greater Locksmith to make substantial donation to Amici children's charity
Greater Locksmith, a prominent locksmith & security company operating in the Toronto, recently announced that it would make a substantial donation of 5% of all locksmith revenues generated in the first week of June to Amici, a registered charitable organization. Amici is dedicated to sending children from low income families to overnight summer camps all across Ontario.
With the summer now approaching, the said funds are designed to provide underprivileged children with an otherwise unavailable opportunity of attending a summer camp of their choice.
Established in 1966, Amici has been sending children to summer camps for almost five decades. Today, among Amici supporters are campers, staff members and commercial organizations, all linked by a common belief in the life-changing power of a summer camp. Amici funds each child year after year until they either outgrow the standard camping age or until their families no longer require financial aid.
Each of Amici's partner camps is an accredited member of the Ontario Camps Association (OCA). Every OCA Camp is required to meet the highest standards of quality in all areas of operations, programing, safety and health. The main purpose of the Ontario Camps Association (OCA) Accreditation Program is to help camps create an enriching, safe and healthy experience for the children in their care.
Greater Locksmith executive Tom Mathers was quoted as saying, "Involvement with the local community has always been our top priority. Helping children fulfill their dreams is a unique privilege. We truly believe that summer camp can have an important, positive impact on a child who has limited access to other recreational activities.
