A new range of low cost DVRs from VDT direct

VDT Direct, the leading developer of rapid deployment video alarm solutions, has launched an innovative range of low cost DVRs. Costing from just £120, they can be generically integrated with the innovative WebEye CMS cloud-based alarm monitoring solution and will meet the needs of smaller scale users in a wide range residential, retail and commercial applications.

According to Clive Mason, Managing Director of VDT Direct: "These new DVRs will open up the market for low-cost video alarm systems by eliminating the need for expensive alarm transmitters to send intrusion alerts to remote locations. They provide users with a fast and reliable way to receive and view video clips using any internet-enabled computer, tablet or smartphone."

Available in 4, 8 or 16 channel configurations, the new DVRs feature high-quality 4CIF recording in real time and support alarm functionality with video and motion detection. When alarm event recording is triggered, real-time alerts are sent to an unlimited number of users using a variety of methods, including push notifications ensuring notifications are received within 20 seconds. This eliminates the delays that can occur with email and SMS messages. A wide range of data is transmitted to users, including date, time and camera number, along with a series of high quality images that are stitched together to provide a small video clip.

VDT Direct's new DVRs incorporate a highly intuitive user interface and support VGA and BNC outputs with up to 724 x 576 recording resolution. Two SATA hard drive ports are included allowing up to 4TB local storage to be added if required.
