Skyguard launches MySOS Mandown the personal safety device for high risk lone workers

* MySOS-mandown.jpgSkyguard - the personal safety service for lone workers and at risk individuals is pleased to announce the launch of MySOS Mandown - Europe's smallest personal safety device fitted with a sensor which automatically raises an alarm to Skyguard's Incident Management Centre in the event of a fall or sudden impact.

Identical in design to the MySOS, the Mandown variant is equipped with all of the features of its predecessor, but comes complete with a Mandown sensor. The feature is vital if the user falls, suffers from a medical condition or is physically assaulted and knocked to the floor and may not be able to raise an alarm manually.

Upon alarm activation, the information and location of the user will be transmitted to Skyguard's UK based, 24 hour manned Incident Management Centre. From there, Skyguard's professionally-trained Controllers will listen in, using the device's two-way audio, assess the situation quickly and expertly and summon the right emergency response direct to the user. All audio and actions are digitally recorded... vital should the incident go to litigation.

The Mandown function can be permanently enabled or disabled, or manually activated, depending upon each user's requirements.

Fully certified to BS8484:2011 - the British standard for lone worker device services and audited and approved to ACPO's 'Secured by Design' award, MySOS Mandown replaces Skyguard's rugged GEMshield personal safety alarm which was launched in 2009 to much plaudits and praise. The GEMshield soon became the device of choice and was used by over half the UK's Police forces to protect those in their care. It was also accredited to the highest possible industry standards.

However, the upon the launch of the MySOS - a groundbreaking step forward in personal alarm technology, many switched to the new lightweight, discreet key fob unit leaving all other alarms in the marketplace in its wake. In fact, such has been the popularity of the MySOS it's propelled Skyguard to become the fastest growing lone worker protection provider in the UK.

Now, MySOS Mandown represents another step forward in 24/7 personal protection. Combining the key elements that made the GEMshield so popular along with the functionality, usability and cost-effectiveness of the MySOS ensures there's no better solution available in the marketplace today.

Skyguard's CEO, James Murray said "We're pleased to be able to launch this new and improved version of the MySOS into the marketplace. Since the initial launch in 2011, the MySOS has been an overwhelming success. However, there is a demand amongst some employers for a fall detector function for their highest risk lone workers. We've listened to those demands, responded accordingly and the end result is the evolution of the MySOS. This re-affirms Skyguard's commitment to delivering the very best lone worker protection solution in the UK and Europe."
