Eric Welch, 50, of Coconut Creek, was arrested Thursday in the back of a Home Depot in Margate after he allegedly cracked opened a safe full of cash that was bolted to a van's floorboard. UAP TradeLocks back Police campaign to rid country of lock snapping A leading door security expert is backing a campaign from West Yorkshire Police and the Association of Chief Police Officers urging homeowners to check the quality of their locks. As BBC Yorkshire's Inside Out focused on just how vulnerable locks can be and official police figures reveal 27% of all burglaries across England involve lock snapping on euro cylinders, UAP TradeLocks say that creating an awareness of the problem, both publically and within the industry, is the key to preventing more attacks on homes. HSE-endorsed powered gate safety guide published by DHF A comprehensive guide to powered gate safety has been published by the Door & Hardware Federation with the backing of the Health & Safety Executive. It has now been adopted as best practice technical guidance by Gate Safe, the industry-led campaign to improve automated gate safety. Gate Safe has been working with DHF on raising awareness of safety of automatic gates and was consulted in the development of the guidance. The guide informs all those within the industry on the legislation, standards and guidelines that need to be followed to ensure every gate installation is safe. The move is necessary because Emizon has simply outgrown its home for the past 6 years in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, due to continued growth in the business, both in the UK and around the world. The new base is only 20 minutes away in Rugby and is very central for access to the M1, M6 and A14. The new office will accommodate additional resources in both Telesales and Technical Helpdesk departments. Every single staff member will be making the relatively short transfer to Rugby.
