New ABUS Bravus Locking System

ABUS announces the release of Bravus, the new 'no compromises locking system' available in the UK from October 2014.

The system features a horizontal keyway that takes a reversible key combining a high level of both technical and legal copy protection.

Fire kit packs now available for Codelocks mechanical and electronic latch locks

Ghana: unregistered locksmiths will be prosecuted

The ministry of interior says it will arrest and prosecute all unregistered locksmiths in the country. According to the Minister, Mr. Kwesi Ahwoi, most of the locksmiths in the country are unregistered and there is "evidence available that unregistered locksmiths aid armed robbers by making keys for them."

The Minister explained that by law, locksmiths should secure permits from the Ministry of Interior.
