Cyber risks changing small business landscape According to new data from Symantec's 2016 Internet Security Threat Report, cyber security attacks are on the rise. But even more alarming is the fact that small businesses have become an even bigger target of these attacks. In 2011, small businesses were only targeted 18 percent of the time. By 2014, that number had scaled to 34 percent. Last year we saw another substantial increase, with small businesses now being targeted 43 percent of the time. Locksmiths and security professionals: How safe are your customers? It’s home security month and a new study of the UK’s home security measures by Ironmongery Direct has been released in infographic format. For the entire locksmith and security industry, the results contained within are worth analysing, as they paint a promising picture for both sectors for many years to come.
The report studied the Office for National Statistics’ latest security release and found that there are 1,920 burglaries per day in the UK. This breaks down to 1.33 burglaries per minute! While this figure is down 71 per cent from similar statistics 20 years ago, the threat of burglary still illustrates the demand for good security measures in order to protect a homeowner. The fleet of AT300 trains are closely related to the 800 and 801 trains Hitachi is supplying for the multi-billion pound Intercity Express Programme (IEP), one of the biggest rail projects in the world for which Pickersgill-Kaye is already contracted to supply the Emergency Egress Device (EED) and Emergency Access Device (EAD) through to 2020. Alpro take racing line at Silverstone Pull door handles from Alpro are being used on office buildings at Silverstone Business Park. The park is a high-performance technology and motorsport cluster adjacent to the Silverstone Circuit which is the current venue for the British Grand Prix. The handles are Alpro's Functional 97 pull handles which cater for a broad user base since their wide diameter (38mm) makes them suitable for both general users and those who may have an impaired ability to grip. G4S to give security staff cameras to detect weapons and suicide vests through clothing G4S is to supply its security staff with cameras which can spot suicide belts and guns through clothing in a bid to foil any Paris-style attacks, after agreeing deal with software development company Digital Barriers. The security firm is understood to be giving the cameras to its staff working at large events such as sports fixtures or concerts with the intention of screening people more effectively, rather than traditional search methods, which take a longer amount of time and often lead to queues.
