SSAIB announce that Defence Systems Ltd have become the first parking enforcement firm in the UK to achieve certification against the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice, in respect of their use of CCTV Enforcement Cameras, Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and Body Worn Video.
This achievement for Defence Systems Ltd - who trade as Park Watch - is even more significant, as they are the first organisation in the UK to have their use of ANPR subject to assessment under the code of practice.

UK security fencing manufacturer Jacksons Fencing has recently completed its transition to the most up-to-date version of the international quality management standard ISO 9001:2015 with certified accreditation from BRE Global, a UKAS accredited certification body.
This ensures Jacksons Fencing retains its Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) approval, LPS 1175, for its SR1 to SR5 Security Rated products. Only companies that have secured ISO 9001are eligible to have items Security Rated by the LPCB.
Manything, the British video monitoring software company with more than 850,000 registered global users, is set to enrich its six years of cloud expertise by unveiling white label software and a new billing system to the professional security industry at IFSEC International in London next month.
Manything originally launched as an app allowing users to turn retired smartphones and tablets into home security cameras, with over 25 years of video monitored every day.

Many of the changes proposed at the Strategy & Standards Group review of the ACS have been welcomed by the Small Business Network (SBN). The meeting, which took place on the 24th April 18 was attended by SBN representatives and other key players from across the security industry including IPSA., BSIA, The Security Institute and G4S alongside the CEO and senior management from the SIA.
Brian Gilluley joins Evolution as Area Sales Manager in Scotland. Brian has 30 years' experience working in the fire and security industry, having started his career as an apprentice with Shorrock Security Systems. Ten years as an Installation Engineer was followed by a move into sales in 1999. Most recently, Brian has been working on a number of significant accounts including a major international supermarket.
