New ISO Toolkit to improve quality standards across fire and security alarm sector A leading Hampshire standards consultancy has launched a new toolkit to help fire and security alarm firms throughout the UK to maintain the highest levels of quality. The online toolkit has been produced by Hampshire-based Hantec Systems to help existing clients and new businesses hit Government approved thresholds for quality, health and safety and environmental management. New Digital Access Solutions training to be provided by Abloy UK Abloy UK has announced the dates for two new courses at its Digital Access Solutions Academy, offering training on its Aperio and Incedo systems. The Digital Access Solutions Academy is a purpose-built facility to showcase, work with, install and test the company’s extensive range of products, with particular focus on new digital solutions and ecosystems. The courses provided at the Academy provide delegates with the knowledge and practical skills to ensure they specify and install the right digital access products in suitable applications, with hands-on experience. Renfrewshire Council makes the grade for school security and key control with ASSA CLIQ Remote More than 70 schools and early learning centres in Renfrewshire, Scotland, are benefitting from improved security, key control and key management, as a result of upgrading to ASSA CLIQ Remote. With schools previously using complex master key systems, Renfrewshire Council faced a number of challenges, including consistency of approach, who had access to keys, and how this was managed. To address these challenges, the ASSA ABLOY Door Hardware Group recommended its ASSA CLIQ Remote solution. To date, this has been installed in a total of 76 premises in Renfrewshire, covering a mix of primary schools, secondary schools and early learning centres. Don’t wait to find out Recent research by cyber security firm Cybereason has revealed that a third of ransomware victims were forced to close temporarily or permanently as a result of an attack.
According to ransomware protection specialist ProLion, calculating the true cost of ransomware before an attack is an impossible question to answer. The research found that 80 percent of ransomware victims that paid their ransom suffered repeat attacks. Many were attacked less than a month later – some by the same attackers and some for an even higher ransom amount.
