UNION launches new high-security padlock

UNION has launched a new range of high-security padlocks that enable a variety of internal and external locations to be secured, and work as part of the company’s new master key cylinder range, keyMASTER.

Compatible with all UNION cylinders, the new Shield high-security padlock range delivers exceptional security. This has enabled it to attain BS EN12320:2012 from Grade 4 up to the maximum Grade 6, in recognition of its physical security and the number of combinations it allows for.

ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions introduces Openings Studio asset tagging

ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions UK & Ireland has introduced an asset tagging functionality for doors developed using its Openings Studio Building Information Modelling (BIM) Software, with the first customer project utilising this system now installed.

Openings Studio is a cloud based, custom configuration tool for the creation, visualisation, modification, and management of door openings. The unique BIM application provides access to complete doorset information at all stages from product concept to product care.

Integrating cameras with your access control system

* CCTV-cameras.jpgAccess control systems limit access to defined areas by using credentials to identify authorised individuals. Credentials are things used to authenticate the identity of the person attempting to gain access. Most commonly, it’s a physical card that is issued to each person and then presented to a reader.

However, it could also be things like a keypad code, a digital impression of a fingerprint, or a signal from a mobile phone.
