CDVI releases new Accessible Toilet Lock System

CDVI has announced the release of the DW-TLC toilet door locking system for accessible toilets. Accessible toilets are not always easy to use for those who need them. This system is designed to remove the difficulty of dealing with handles and fiddly locks for people with limited dexterity. 

Combined with a DIGIWAY automatic swing door opener, the system is activated with just a touch. The system consists of two activation units: one for outside the cubicle and one for inside.

13th Lockexpo photo review

* Locks1.jpgThe 13th annual Lockexpo was held at the Belfry hotel, Nottingham. Sponsored this year by Hickleys and as always the exhibitors made the show stand out. Lots of colourful stands, plenty to browse and buy.[

The weather was a bit threatening in the forecast but it turned out to be amazing sunny weather. Visitor registrations were high and the percentage that booked in very, very good many staying overnight for a second day.

67% of UK locksmiths are working extra shifts due to the cost of living

UK locksmiths are working longer hours and extra shifts because of the cost of living crisis, with 33% saying they can't afford to take any time off.

The new research by ElectricalDirect, a specialist retailer of electrical products, surveyed locksmiths across the nation to reveal how many are at risk of burnout, and found that 67% have upped their hours in recent months.

Furthermore, 25% take less than a week of annual leave, and 17% regularly work more than five days a week.
