Karen Trigg of Allegion UK explains the significance of installer competence and how responsible persons should approach fire door hardware fittings to ensure lives aren’t put at risk. Reliance High-Tech opens new headquarters in £2m investment Reliance High-Tech has announced a £2m investment in new corporate headquarters in Bracknell, Berkshire. The move allows the business to expand further in the UK’s fast-growing electronic security sector and will house its growing workforce who serve customers drawn from commercial, government, critical national infrastructure, education, public space, logistics, data centres, police and utilities sectors, among others. Abloy UK launches new RIBA approved CPD: Wireless Access Control Abloy UK, a leading provider of security and access control solutions, has announced the launch of a new RIBA approved CPD training programme focused on wireless access control. This initiative aims to provide architects and building professionals with comprehensive knowledge and insights into the latest advancements in security technology. Garage door specialists Garolla commissioned a survey of 1,001 UK respondents (nationally representative) to discover what items the nation are storing in their garages, the estimated value of these belongings, and common home security measures. The findings revealed that the most common items to store in garages are DIY tools (60.4%), gardening tools (58.1%) and cars (40.8%). Over a third (35.6%) admitted to hoarding junk in their garages, and some revealed that they keep valuables (3.2%) or important documents (2.9%) in their garages.
