Dortronics Systems recently introduced two new electromagnetic locks for use with a variety of door and frame types at ASIS 2013. The 1107xD maglock and the 1107xEDR delayed egress actuating maglock offer smart features in a slim configuration and at a competitive price. Both units deliver fail-safe operation, releasing instantly upon command or loss of power.
Viscount Systems a leading edge high technology supplier of security systems and software, has announced that the company has signed a distributor agreement with Tri-ED Distribution to begin selling and stocking Viscount's new Liberty access control system at its 65 North American branch locations.
IFSEC Istanbul, organised by UBM Live, has closed its doors for 2013 following a very successful launch event on 30 September - 2nd October. Despite the extensive roadworks in and around Nottingham and the closeness of the MLA show, attendance at this year's Auto Locksmith's event was only marginally down on 2012 - exhibitors reported a good turnover of visitors and some very good orders taken by discerning customers.
The latest update for the Zedbull has extended the cloning applications still further. Now it is possible to clone the Texas 8C transponder mainly used in Mazda and some Ford applications say Hickleys.
This new cloning ability is carried out simply and quickly without the need of a PC, Internet, or going to the vehicle. "It is a simple read and write process and it is done."
A Kent resident received a mobile phone and a contract which had been completed with their details...
As they had no knowledge of the phone or the contract they immediately contacted the mobile phone operator who agreed that they should return the phone. Later the resident received a phone call from a foreign sounding man who said he would call at their house to collect the phone. Luckily the resident thought this was a strange practice and refused to let anyone call at their home.
