Securikey launches brand new digital door locks Leading physical security product supplier Securikey has launched two new models as part of its best selling Keylex digital door lock range.
The Keylex 700AR Series for commercial applications and the Keylex 700M Series for domestic use extend the options for customers requiring a high quality, user-friendly and quick to install access control solution. Allegion launches RIBA approved CPD sessions Specialist security provider, Allegion, has achieved RIBA approval for one of its Continuous Professional Development (CPD) seminars. The CPD seminar titled 'Door Hardware and Inclusive Design', has been assessed and approved as conforming to guidelines set by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and has become part of its Core Curriculum. Close the door on the competition with Yale's new range of door closers Security specialist Yale has launched a range of door closers to complement its product portfolio, providing a total solution for ease of specification.

Losing Your Mettle: is the law failing to stand up to metal theft? Contrary to the much-lauded 2013 Scrap Metal Dealers Act, new analysis on metal theft raises questions on its success and on how it has encouraged a shift from petty to large-scale organised crime. The act was meant to cut metal theft which peaked in 2011/2012 when copper prices were high and UK businesses alone were experiencing over 1,000 such thefts a week, with an annual haul of 60,000 metal thefts reported. Mitie retains Fujitsu security contract Mitie, the facilities management company, has retained a multi-million pound security contract with the Fujitsu, one of the UK and Ireland's leading IT systems, services and products companies. Over the next three years, Mitie's total security management business will provide integrated services including security personnel, key holding, alarm response and mobile patrols. Mitie will also provide remote monitoring via a dedicated pod at Mitec, Mitie's technology centre. This will monitor over 40 of Fujitsu's vital UK locations, including head offices, data centres and satellite locations.
