Products The new UNION KeyPRIME patented master keying system
Comcast adds Kwikset connected door locks to smart home system Comcast has expanded its partnership with Kwikset to integrate three more smart locks into its Xfinity Home platform. The deal means Xfinity Home customers can now choose from four Kwikset connected door locks to remotely control access into and out of their homes. The locks covered are the SmartCode 910 Deadbolt, SmartCode 912 Deadbolt Lever and SmartCode 916 Touchscreen Deadbolt, which join the SmartCode 914 Touchpad Deadbolt. Features available to Xfinity Home customers include the ability to remotely view status, lock/unlock or open/close their doors, view lock/unlock or open/close events in the activity feed and create rules or automated commands to notify users if their doors are not locked, said Comcast. Judge blocks Ring from selling its security system pending the outcome of a lawsuit by Andrew Liptak In October, home device maker Ring unveiled a new security system called Ring Protect, designed to tie together a home's cameras, lights, and doorbells. Last week, a judge ordered Ring to stop selling products at the center of an ongoing lawsuit brought by security company ADT, pending its resolution.
Earlier this year, ADT filed a lawsuit against Ring, alleging that the company misused proprietary information that it received when it acquired another home device maker, Zonoff, when that company went under earlier this year.
