Tradespeople across the UK are fighting with additional costs as they look to navigate the cost of living crisis. Overwhelming work schedules, material shortages and new directives such as ULEZ have left hundreds of thousands of small businesses – equalling 27% of SMEs in the trade - on the verge of breaking point and collapse, a study by Fix Radio found. Abloy UK showcases new digital portfolio at the Security Event 2023 Abloy UK is inviting visitors to stand 4/F60 at The Security Event to get hands on with its innovative range of electromechanical and digital access solutions. Products include Incedo, Aperio, SMARTair, and CLIQ, which can be combined with compliant electric locks to create a bespoke access control system, designed specifically for an organisation’s needs, and to meet building regulations. Mitie stays on track with Eurostar extension Mitie has renewed its contract with Eurostar, the high-speed passenger rail service linking the UK and mainland Europe, extending its relationship for another three years.
The contract will see Mitie provide security services at St Pancras International Station in London, as well as the Eurostar Engineering Centre in Temple Mills, and has the option for an additional two years. Mitie, which has provided services to Eurostar for over 14 years, was awarded the contract following a competitive retender process.
