Lockdecoders have just released a new Key-Crypt Pro software update. It is version pc software P43 and device 211. The jail that needs new locks! The Putnam County jail in Tennessee has failed its 2011 Corrections Institute inspection and if the findings listed in a recently issued report are left uncorrected, the facility could lose its state certification. Faulty locks are the main culprit, officials say. It could cost the county up to $165,000 to replace 48 of those door fixtures in two medium security areas. In this week's issue: Regular readers would have noticed that we had a bit of a problem last week. In short, the entire area where our office is based lost broadband, so after waiting for hours for BT to fix it, we decided to action the broadcast from our remote server via iPhone, which worked, but it meant a much later broadcast than usual and we were unable to change the leader, so deleted it. Worse things happen. Hopefully this week will be back to normal (if what's happening lately can be called normal, what with a global financial meltdown as well as a meltdown in law and order across the UK these past few days). To quote a poster from Winston Churchill's War Room: 'Keep calm and carry on.' That's what we did then, and it's as valid a message for today. Queensland security review to see locksmiths' fingerprints taken By Sid Maher Queensland, Australia, is demanding that all its locksmiths submit themselves for fingerprinting as part of a nationwide crackdown on the security industry. The move, which will cost $100 an application, has raised eyebrows with locksmiths, who argue they have been caught in a net meant to apply to nightclub bouncers and doormen.
