In what sounds like something out of George Orwell's dystopia 1984, suspects can now be finger printed in the street thanks to the new hand-held gadget. Octagonal design cable locks from Henry Squire The Mako cable locks with integrated lock and chains are pitched at urban cyclists and includes seven high security lock and chain sets with Sold Secure bronze and silver ratings. They all feature an advance five-pin tumbler lock mechanism and octagonal design. The Mako range is compatible with a universal carry bracket for commuting. Full StoryiPOLiS goes MOBILE with new iPhone and Android Apps Samsung has developed an application which enables live video from its iPOLiS network camera range to be remotely viewed on the iPhone and Android smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone. The free iPOLiS MOBILE app, which can be downloaded from iTunes and Android market, allows users to control the pan, tilt and zoom functions of the latest Samsung network cameras on their sites via an easy-to-use interface. Set-up can be completed in less than a minute after which users are able to view streamed video from their selected camera via a wireless or 3G network. Keeping watch for trouble at mill For centuries windmills have been landmarks on the Kent landscape with once over 400 operating throughout the county. Kent County Council owns and is responsible for the preservation and maintenance of eight remaining mills that are an important historically significant feature of the Kent countryside.
