This Week's News

We have Mail: Google locksmiths' story

Thanks for covering The New York Times' locksmith story. I helped the reporter with some of the research for that article but in the end the article was cut down quite a bit for length. I just want to share some of my insight.

You quote "Google's local results algorithm has not fixed the fake listing problem", but in fact they are and things are indeed changing. Two specifically:

Safety first

* Roto-TSL3.jpgA look at the current crime statistics demonstrates that the importance of effective burglary protection, practically everywhere across Europe, cannot be overstated.

Roto's new Twin-Cam Security Lock (TSL) sets new standards in burglar-proof outward opening PVC,timber and aluminium windows starting from a width and height of 305 mm.

Send for Help group's subsidiaries achieve NSI gold standard

Send for Help Group - Europe's largest lone worker protection provider has been awarded NSI's prestigious Guarding Gold standard for its subsidiary brands, Skyguard and Guardian24.

Following a rigorous audit, the award certifies that both companies are working to the very highest standards of both product and service provision.
The National Security inspectorate (NSI) is the recognised leading certification body for the UK's Security, Fire and Facilities Management industries, offering a multi-tier approval scheme.

ABUS was set up to beat the burglar - Sometimes we defeat the locksmith too!

* ABUS.jpgCarl Jacque, owner of Pick & Fix Locksmiths in Caister is used to having to remove locks. When he was called out to remove a brass padlock with lost keys he felt his trusty 24" bolt cutters would be more than sufficient for the task.

Sadly for Carl he was not aware the padlock in question was an ABUS 65/50.

Allegion's new first-of-its-kind Try Me Product Programme, gives end users the option to try door closer products on a single door before committing to fitting them throughout their buildings.

Keyline is red, Tradelocks is blue...

* TL1.jpgAnd this week, on the run up to Valentine's Day, Tradelocks have some very special offers on Keyline products that will have you swooning.

It would seem Tradelocks have been hit by cupid's arrow and are sharing the love by making huge discounts on some of their Keyline products. Keyline, like St Valentine himself comes from Italy - making it the perfect way to celebrate this special day.
