A Shipley firm has secured a boost in sales despite an unsuccessful bid for funds on TV's Dragons' Den. Craig Knott, 46, invented Patlock, a device which aims to cut household burglaries across the UK, after an attempted break-in at his Bradford home in 2009.

Locksmith known for cracking safes as well as jokes remembered

Phil Hobbs got his nickname "Drill Bits" after he successfully cracked a bank vault called the "Mosler Monster" at the former Permanent Savings & Loan, Meriden, Connecticut, USA.

The 83-year-old founder of Phil's Lockshop Inc. was also a practical joker. Hobbs died Friday after spending a lifetime helping others unlock doors, crack safes, share a laugh, and understand God.

'Mounties' asking for help after locksmith equipment stolen

Airdrie RCMP is asking members of the public for any information they might have concerning the theft of a locksmith van from Mackenzie Way on February 27th.  Constable Jennifer Weedmark said an employee of ABOE Lockworks parked the van at the Mackenzie Way apartments where it was stolen sometime overnight.

Lockexpo 2017

Just a note to say what a great show last weekend's Lockexpo was. The show 'was brilliant' and those are not my words. Although numbers on 2017 were slightly down at 1,000, the quality of the attendees was excellent.
