The global cyber security market is predicted to grow at 11.1% CAGR during the forecast period with the market size reaching USD 282.3 billion by 2024.
The market is driven by factors such as increasing cyber security threats, increasing internet penetration, and increasing adoption of IoT solutions across different industry verticals.

Legislators in San Francisco have voted to ban the use of facial recognition, the first US city to do so. The emerging technology will not be allowed to be used by local agencies, such as the city's transport authority, or law enforcement.

Hackers were able to remotely install surveillance software on phones and other devices using a major vulnerability in messaging app WhatsApp, it has been confirmed, according to BBC reports.
WhatsApp, which is owned by Facebook, said the attack targeted a "select number" of users and was orchestrated by "an advanced cyber-actor." A fix was rolled out and WhatsApp urged all of its 1.5 billion users to update their apps as an added precaution.
